amb.pngWelcome to the Ambassadors page. You probably have so many questions before starting your Erasmus. You can look for students from your country who spent a study period in Trento in the past years. These students agreed to act as contact people for you. We are very thankful for their participation and hope that their experience may be useful for you. Read below to look for your country.

Trento is a small historical city in the middle of the mountains full of friendly people. I spent there one of the best times of my life and I would recommend this place for Erasmus to everybody. My experiences with Opera accommodation and with UniTn were not very good, but this was not important to me in Erasmus. I am very grateful to ESN staff, because they gathered us together and we had a lot of fun with them on the trips and parties.

As it was a great time for my I really recommend Trento for an Erasmus to the "next generation". Trento is a small, cute and cultural mixture; surrounded by a wonderful mountainside with beautiful mountain lakes. In the center you will meet every time people you know - so it never becomes boring. The accommodations: Those, which are offered by Opera Universitaria are spread over the city. I lived in Vela and in general was satisfied with my place. The ESN-team organized many great events, trips and parties which made my Erasmus Erasmus. Awesome people. The exams: As Erasmus at the faculty of Lettere you have some "plus-points"(only some profs). I was lucky with my profs and had "good" exams. But I also visited the CIAL(library) and economics reading room for long studying hours. Finally the characteristics of Trento: green bikes, spritz and coffee, Piazza Duomo, bar Bacchus and Cantinota, market on thursday, beggars and rose sellers ^^.

Trento is an amazing city in an interesting and beautiful region of Italy. For a Latvian it's quite convenient to travel to and from (well, it is 3h away by train from the nearest direct flights to Riga, but it's really not bad and not very expensive). It is not a very big city, so it's easy to learn where what is. The university (most of the faculties) are located in the center. The university itself is very nice, also most of the professors are very good. The exams are not the easiest part of the year, sometimes even a challenge. I would suggest to search for an apartment in the center (it might seem hard in the beginning, but its definitely worth it). Opera is an organization connected to university, which gives students a lot of nice opportunities - free gym, cheap events, etc. Sometimes the accommodation they offer is not the best one. ESN of Trento is a great organization that will definitely make your stay there unforgettable. They join the local students with the exchange students and make an explosion out of it. Overall, I would say that Trento is a great place for Erasmus!

For sure you will have to study in this university during the Erasmus period, not like I did :). During the last month CIAL (library) was my best friend, like 200 other students. But in Trento it's an established order, so don't worry. About accommodation - for me it wasn't problem, because Opera Universitaria loved me a lot - I lived in the center, 5min walk from  the faculty, there weren't any incident. ESN Trento staff - awesome! They are like your big brother in Trento - if you are in trouble, they'll help you for sure! And also all the trips and traveling with ESN was great. You should use all the events provided by ESN, because it's holding all Erasmus students together and you can get know each other better. About Trento - to compare with Riga, Trento is small old-town, and so sooooo beautiful. Those 3 mountains enclosed Trento town, I was admiring every single day, because in Latvia you can not see views like that. The nature in Trento and in Italy in general was awesome.

Trento is awesome! The city is very beautiful and cozy, ideal for Erasmus students. UniTn is very good and offers, in general, good conditions to exchange students. Opera is not so good, specially with accommodation services. ESN is really good, everyone there is really into helping the students, and I made some good friends there. Exams are not very easy, but also not very hard, with some work everything is quite "doable".

Trento is an nice town, quite small but you still can find plenty of stuff to do. Opera and the housing can be a bit of trouble but it usually is fine. The apartments are good but some a bit far away sometimes so its good to have a bike or take the bus. ESN is really good and helpful and will help you out if you have any problems. The exam is exam, you have to study a bit but in the end it is easy if you have studied a bit.  But in the end Trento is a really good choice for an erasmus student.
