In collaboration with the University of Trento, ESN Trento organizes also for this year (2009/2010) the welcome project "An Italian Friend for you".
The project consists in supporting Erasmus students with the help of a local one.
Last year we managed to find an Italian buddy for all 100 Erasmus students who asked for one. About half of all incoming Erasmus students, before coming to Trento, received an e-mail address and a phone number of a local student who, on the base of his/her willingness, offered to pick him/her up at the train staton and to be a reference point for the first days of his/her stay in Italy.
The project "An Italian Friend for you" has turned up to be an excellent opportunity of cultural exchange between local students and Erasmus students. Moreover, for Erasmus students, it has offered a really good chance to happily face the first days in Trento.
